Color

This semester I've been taking a color photo class. I have produced quite a few images; I still have a long way to go, but you need to start somewhere right? I am a contrast junkie, so most of the images have had a little punch of contrast. (I think you can click on the phots to make them bigger) This first one was accepted into a student exhibit on my campus...

Spring!
I had all sorts of ideas for shooting at that carnival and I was so excited when Karina invited me to go with her. We grabbed our cameras (well i did, she forgot hers) had some dinner, and headed off to Waltham to search for the carnival. We got lost 2 or 3 times but eventually we found the glowing ferris wheel. I was so excited to shoot all sorts of fun long exposures, and eat a ton of cotton candy and fried dough. When we finally got there it was closed, and not only was it closed it was being broken down and packed up. I grabbed a quick shot of the glowing ferris wheel and we were on our way... sad story right?

RENT

A few weeks ago I did headshots for the Hilltop Players (the acting group on my campus). I also took some photos of them rehersing. They did a tribute to RENT. Everyone did such a great job. Here are a few of my favorite photos...

My friend Rob played Mark....isn't he adorable?

Mike & Nicolle

Sorry to the 2 people who read my old blog but I'm starting over here and that means redoing the 3 posts I already had.
Last summer I did engagement photos for friends of mine, Mike & Nicolle. They put a lot of faith in me considering I had no experience whatsoever. They are both lifetime residents of Tewksbury, Ma (as am I), so they decided to do their photos all around town. We went to the corn fields, an old abandoned house, the football field where Mike played in high school, the firehouse, and a softball field because they are on a league together. They were very cooperative and understanding of my first timer, down on my skills attitude. I think despite the heat and my newness we got some really great shots. Here are a few of my favorites...
First things first, her ring...

Once they started warming up to the camera they were so cute!

I think this is my favorite shot of the whole day!

Thanks again guys!

Hello world...

Ss I tried blogging before, but it didn't quite work out. I never updated it because it was a fruatrating process. My previous blog was hosted through typepad and it distorted my photo's. I'm hoping that this will be a little more straight forward. This will mainly be a photo blog since I am an aspiring photographer, but I'm sure I will throw in my occassional personal post. I am about to graduate college and despite being really excited about it, I am also really sad and a little freaked out about entering the "real world". Hopefully this will be a fun little place for me to share my photos and you to enjoy them. I guess I should end with a photo...
